I think this is the reason why my velocity contour is not reasonable. Therefore, I tried to unload all my UDFs and remove UDS. Then I calculated a pure cold flow and very good velocity contour was obtained.

WebAnalysing Cl and Cd NACA airfoil using ANSYS Fluent. I am currently working on analysing the coefficients I’d lift and drag for a NACA0012 airfoil through different angles of attack. The simulation is at a Reynolds number of 6,000,000 and is using a density based solver and 2nd order flow solution. Up to angles of 12 degrees the residuals are ... WebNov 10, 2015 · The y-axis on your mass flow rate is hard to see, but it looks like the convergence is hovering around zero. All the values on the y-axis look to be zero, which …
WebNov 10, 2015 · 1. Reverse flow is usually not a big deal, there's even an option in the text user interface to suppress the warning. If you're using higher order discretization in your solver, you may want to instead try a first order approach first. Get that to converge, then run a few iterations with second order and see if you still get reversed flow.
WebNo, the reference area only changes the value of the report, not its behavior. If the solution is oscillating it either hasn't converged yet, or you need to refine your mesh. The next step in order to get you some proper help should be sharing your mesh and boundary conditions. corneal biomechanics: a reviewcorneal blindness worldwideWebIn this 2 minute tip, our fluids engineer Stephen demonstrates how to monitor convergence in Ansys Fluent 2024 R2. The goal of any CFD simulation is convergence, regardless … fang powerWebDec 4, 2024 · The velocity profile we get after solving the momentum balance equation (MBE) in general does not obey the continuity equation (CE). So the residual for continuity should not be 0. Because mass balance is not satisfied, we calculate a pressure correction term and a velocity correction term. fangpower 400ccWebSep 11, 2015 · However , the residual of continuity does not converge after even 10000 iterations. If yours are low and your simulation is converging in the first 1000 time steps, you could also try increasing these controls after the 1000 time steps. This can help your simulation converge after it initial results are created. fangpower fx200WebFeb 24, 2024 · But, the problem I observe is the continuity is not converging. The key point to mention here is when I change the scale of my geometry (2cm by 1cm) the continuity does converge.
